Infant Safe Sleep
Calhoun County’s Infant Safe Sleep (ISS) program provides free pack-n-plays and education to Calhoun families with new babies. CCPHD also provides safe sleep presentations to the community including parents/guardians, daycare staff, medical professionals, and anyone who cares for infants.
Pack-n-Plays Distributed
Pack-n-Plays Distributed
Pack-n-Plays are distributed to eligible parents to give their baby a safe sleep environment. The graph above shows the number of Pack-n-Plays given out each quarter through CCPHD's Infant Safe Sleep Program. The number distributed depends on how many families need and qualify for a Pack-n-Play during that quarter.
Pack-n-Play Requests
Pack-n-Play Requests
This figure shows the number of Pack-n-Plays requests received by the Infant Safe Sleep program. These numbers differ from the number of Pack-n-Plays distributed because not all requests received are filled by CCPHD due to program requirements.
Provider Outreach Sessions
Provider Outreach Sessions
This graph displays the number of provider outreach sessions given by the Fetal Infant Mortality Review (FIMR)/Infant Safe Sleep (ISS) health educator during each quarter. The number of sessions done each quarter depends on the availability of providers as well as the schedule of the health educator. The sessions provide information on the FIMR and ISS programs at CCPHD as well as providing resources for the providers to hand out to patients.
