GOAL: All residents in Calhoun County will have access to safe, permanent, affordable housing

HOW ARE WE DOING? In 2016, the 211 Call Center made 894 rent-related referrals for services, while the number of unmet rent-related requests totaled 360. The reasons that needs remained unmet included: caller ineligible/lacked the required documentation e.g., an eviction letter (155); caller had been previously assisted and was no longer eligible (50); no immediate resource was available (40); caller was ineligible because they didn’t fall into the target population that a program served (30); caller not eligible due to income (23); caller refused the referral (11); or other reasons (58).
